Hi Witchwooder, I see you recently made a mod to the Jade Warrior article. Glyn Havard is a relative of mine. Then you've made a million mods to Strawbs articles. I was just talking to those guys a couple of months ago. Dave Lambert was saying that US Customs was giving Chas Cronk a hard time about the extra strings he was carrying because they can be used to strangle somebody. Hi Varlaam, yes I made lots of edits to correct the "Electric bass" links on various pages (like your relative, I'm a bass player too!). lol re strawbs story - the guys are very approachable aren't they? I spoke to Chas after an acoustic strawbs gig - a very nice and unassuming gent - not the type to go in for murder! Witchwooder 07:24, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I was interested in this edit you made to the Strawbs article. In what way is "Flag of England England" superior to "England"? WP:FLAG is a well-developed essay which explains more about why such use of flags is unhelpful. --John 19:18, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. I would emphasise that WP:FLAG is not (yet) policy, but, while I like flags very much, I have found that their use in instances like this engenders nationalistic edit warring which far outweighs any small aesthetic contribution to articles. Hi, I've seen your comments on the MNR article's talk page. Will address those there.

With reference to only using blue for metro or light railway systems, I was not aware that this was set in stone, and was being 'bold by using the different colours for different things. See the Réseau des Bains de Mer article for an extreme example. As long as a legend is included so that is is obvious what each colour represents there shouldn't be a problem. Michael.
