"Wishful Thinking" is a song by English pop group China Crisis, included on numerous "Best of" compilations as well as their 1983 album Working with Fire & Steel: Possible Pop Songs - Volume 2.
A bittersweet, reflective tale of a couple dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, it reached #9 in the UK charts in early 1984, their only top 10 hit single.
