Wishaw F.C.

Wishaw Football Club are a Scottish football (soccer) club, based in Wishaw, Lanarkshire near Motherwell. They were formed in 1885 and play at Victoria Park. They currently compete in the West Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association, they wear light blue strips (uniforms).
They had to move from their ground in Wishaw in the 1980s and shared with Coltness United F.C. for a number of years until 1999 when they secured tenancy at the Wishaw Sports Centre. This agreement did not work out though and after a few seasons in abeyance they are back sharing with Coltness United. One again Wishaw have seured a deal to play at the sport centre. During season 2006/07 they parted company with then manager Billy Whiteford. The lub ended the season with 3 signed players S. Aitchieson (Ashfield) P. McCann (Wishaw) and J. Nesbitt (Forth)
Wishaw have Alec Young in charge and most of the players came from his under 21 side. Although a young side they have started ok in the league and will give most teams a game.
