Wisbech North railway station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wisbech North railway station was a station in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. It was part of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway network in East Anglia. It was located on the line between Sutton Bridge and Peterborough. The line north to Sutton Bridge closed in 1959 when British Rail shut most of the line, in a forerunner of the Beeching Axe. The rest of the station stayed open till 1968. It was located on Harecroft Road. It should not be confused with Wisbech East railway station or Wisbech tramway station.
