[edit] Grateful Red
Hi. I've been putting together pages for each of the Big Ten's basketball student sections and was wondering if someone would be interested in expanding and maintaining that of the Grateful Red. Thanks!
[edit] Dayne's number not retired
I've corrected the statement under the football section, to note that Dayne's number is not retired. This can be verified in the Official UW Football 2006 Yearbook (page 124), which listed all numbers that were retired prior to the 2006 season. And among the numbers that were retired during the 2006 season, Dayne's was not one of them. -JakeApple 03:24, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wisconsin Badgers basketball?
Should an article for Wisconsin Badgers basketball be created? Thought I'd ask here before creating it. – Lordmontu (talk) • (contribs) 23:15, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

- This article needs a section for every Badgers sport, especially women's basketball and crew. Cross country, track, and any other sports should be added. The Hockey section should be split into two subsections of mens and womens. – Lordmontu (talk) • (contribs) 23:28, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Especially women's basketball and crew? I think if anybody has enough quality information on specific sports go ahead and add a specific section for that. Otherwise just create or add to a general section.
[edit] Baseball
Has there ever been a UW baseball team? I vaguely remember one. TVRJomar 02:43, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I do not know what the year was but the baseball team was axed due to Title IX.
[edit] Trademark dispute
This section seems marginal to the article at best. It doesn't have to do with the BADGERS, the purpose of the article, but with the logo. It's like including Quentin Tarantino's eating habits in an article about Pulp Fiction. Relevant somewhere, but not on the Pulp Fiction article. I'm deleting it, but welcome arguments to the contrary.Polkapolkapoker 00:01, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- There's no article for the W logo. Its not the university's 'official' logo, its the athletic logo. It doesn't warrant its own article...I'll leave the matter be until more people comment on it...but there's really no place else to put it. I feel its a notable fact, I mean, it was covered in at least 4 sources, and I believe it was presented neutrally. Bassgoonist Talk 03:22, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Response to request at 3O
This fact is noteworthy enough to be of interest and has quite direct relevance to the subject matter. It is also satisfactorily sourced. Some improvement of the original prose would not go amiss, but I see no reason to criticise its inclusion. Per my usual policy when giving 3Os, I will leave the contributing editor to revert or recreate his edit if the other party is willing to agree to it. Adrian M. H. 16:36, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I'll concede on this. Thanks for the 3O. My apologies to the original poster for the deletion. I'll see to its reinstatement if not already done.Polkapolkapoker 01:32, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
- There's no need for an apology. No harm done. I don't take it personally (usually) when people revert my edits, sometimes they're pretty lame ideas. Like this one for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=CAPTCHA&diff=141445115&oldid=141137044 Bassgoonist Talk 07:49, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Colors
I mention this here because it keeps being changed. The official colors of the Badgers are CARDINAL and white, not red and white. Yes, it is minor, but this page should be correct.Polkapolkapoker (talk) 01:20, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
