- I was under the impression, from Template:PD-Germany, that this was no longer under copyright. However I see that only applies to photographs and there is no indication for illustrations. It was, however, published over 50 years ago by the Nazi state, but I will try to figure out for sure what the age limit on illustrations is. --Fastfission 16:28, 23 May 2005 (UTC)

- The limit is 70 years, starting with the death of the artist or with the date of publication in the case of anonymous works. This also applies to a great deal of photographs - see the talk page of the template. The template is misleading. --SKopp 23:02, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
- So this 1936 work is one year away from entering the public domain? -Willmcw 23:30, May 23, 2005 (UTC)
- Maybe, but be careful: If it was published in a brochure or whatever that contained an attribution, e.g. "Images by so-and-so," it's not anonymous. Even if that's not the case, the name of the author may still have been announced publically, or may still be, because the period for such an announcement doesn't end before 2006. See de:Bildrechte for details. --SKopp 00:18, 24 May 2005 (UTC)
