The Winthrop Eagles team is the basketball team that represent Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The school's team currently competes in the Big South Conference. The team will play in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2008. The Eagles are currently coached by Randy Peele.
