Winter Star Party

The Annual Winter Star Party was first established in 1984 by Tippy D'Auria and is held in the Florida Keys. It is hosted by the Southern Cross Astronomical Society of Miami, Florida.

WSP also hosts the annual outreach awards for the AstronomyOuteach network with board members Michael D. Reynolds, Tippy D'Auria, and Scott W. Roberts. They provide an opportunity for astronomers to observe the southern skies in a warm climate. The event is run at Camp Wesumkee in located on West Summerland Key in the Lower Florida Keys.
