Winnipeg South Blues

The Winnipeg South Blues are a Manitoba Junior Hockey League team playing out of the Century Arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Formerly the Fort Garry Blues. They have won the Turnbull Cup (the MJHL Championship) six times, 1982, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1995, & 2006. The Anavet Cup (the MJHL-SJHL Championship) twice, 1986 & 1995, and the Abbott Cup (Western Canadian Junior ‘A’ Championship) once, in 1995.

The 1995 Winnipeg South Blues were inducted into the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame in the team category.

The current captain of the squad is Wade Poplawski, son of Joe Poplawski, the former all-star receiver for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
