Route 42 is a city route located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It runs SouthWest from the intersection of PTH 101 (Perimeter Highway) and PTH 204 as Henderson Highway until it reaches Downtown, where it crosses the Red River and becomes the Disraeli Freeway. The Disraeli Freeway crosses Main Street and splits into two. The Southbound route follows Princess Street and Donald Street, while the Northbound route follows King Street and Smith Street. The two routes join together as Donald Street just before Route 42 crosses the Assiniboine River. South of the river, Route 42 passes through Confusion Corner and becomes Pembina Highway, which continues all the way to the South Perimeter.
