Winnipeg Fury

The Winnipeg Fury is a now defunct professional soccer team that was based in Winnipeg. The team was part of the Canadian Soccer League from 1987 to 1992. The Fury belonged to the former Canadian National Soccer League for 1993. Winnipeg Blue Bombers placekicker Troy Westwood played for the team in the late 1980s.

The Fury won the final CSL championship, defeating the Vancouver 86ers in goals aggregrate 3-1 in the two game series in 1992 season.

The Fury went on to join the former Canadian National Soccer League, but only for the 1993 season. Since their demise, Winnipeg has not had a professional soccer team.
