[edit] Career

[edit] Radio

Waldron began her professional relationship with National Public Radio via the radio drama series Tales from the Other Side, a science fiction speculative series which aired as a part of NPR Playhouse in 1992. For this series, Waldron served as script editor, actress, on-air host and co-producer with her long-time creative partner Winifred Phillips.[1]

From 1992 to 2003, Waldron served as on-air host, producer and script editor / adapter[2] for a series of audio dramatizations of classic works of literature first presented on National Public Radio Playhouse under the title Generations Radio Theater Presents.[3] The programs currently air on XM Satellite Radio as the Radio Tales series.[4]

Waldron's work on the Radio Tales series has been recognized with three Gracie Allen Awards from the Foundation of American Women in Radio and Television (in 2004,[5] 2003,[6]and 2001[7]).

Her work on the series has also been honored with a New York Festivals WorldMedal,[8] and a Golden Reel Merit Award.[9]

Waldron transitioned to the role of music producer for video games with the God of War adventure game from Sony Computer Entertainment America.[10]

Her work as music producer for the God of War video game was recognized with an Interactive Achievement Award in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.[11] Waldron's work on the God of War video game also won four Game Audio Network Guild Awards, including the Music of the Year Award.[12]

She completed work as music producer for the Speed Racer video game, which was released in May of 2008.[13]

Other video games for which Waldron served as music producer include Shrek the Third,[14] The Da Vinci Code,[15]and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory[16].
