The Wings haircut is a popular hairstyle used virtually only by teenagers, usually from the skateboarding community. Typically quite long, the style can range from quite long and drooping below the eyes, to rather short. The short style may best be exemplified by the Beatles, who sported the haircut in the late 1960s to the early 1970s. Some people that have the wings haircut are Mitchel Musso from Hannah Montana, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Shaun White, Mike Score from Flock of Seagulls, Ryan Sheckler and Kelvin Tayag. The haircut is typically wavy and, if straight, the length comes to halfway down the ears. Instead of lying on the wearer's ears, the hair flips up and comes straight out like an airplane wing, hence the name. Also known as "flippies." This hairstyle can also be done by wearing a hat, causing the hair to flip out and up. [1]
