In addition to wings, Wing Zone also sells boneless wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches, potato wedges, salads, mozzerella sticks, brownie and banana deserts, and fried mushrooms. Wing Zone is also known for its unprecedented 25 available wing sauces. One of its available sauces, Garlic Parmesan, was awarded "Most Creative Sauce" at the 2003 National Buffalo Wing Festival. [edit] History

The Wing Zone idea was conceived in 1991 by Matt Friedman and Adam Scott, then two students at the University of Florida. In an attempt to offer a late-night alternative to pizza delivery, the two students took over their fraternity kitchen at nights and began developing their own techniques for creating original buffalo wings. According to Wing Zone's website, they sold out on their first two nights of business. Noting the tremendous business opportunity, Matt and Adam opened up their first two stores in Gainesville, Florida in 1993. [6]
