Windsor Academy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Windsor Academy is a private school in Bibb County, Georgia. It was founded in 1970 to serve students in the area south of Macon, around the same time that many other private schools in the southeast were created. Located on Jones Road, it was originally financed by the memberships of ten families.

The school provides education from preschool to high school, primarily following a liberal arts model with Christian influence.

Windsor's athletic teams, the Knights, compete in the Georgia Independent School Association. The Lady Knights slow-pitch softball team has won fifteen state titles, most recently in 1998-99. That same year, the women's basketball team also finished at the top of the state. [1]

Notable Windsor alumni include prosecutor and CNN and Court TV host Nancy Grace [2] and country music recording artist Jason Aldean [3].
