Windows Live Tools are a set of control add-ins for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 that allow developers to incorporate Windows Live services into their web applications.
Windows Live Tools currently provides the following controls for ASP.NET applications:[1]
- Contacts Control for Windows Live Contacts
- SilverlightStreamingMedia using Windows Live Silverlight Streaming
- IDLogin for Windows Live ID Web Authentication
- IDLoginView for Windows Live ID Web Authentication
Windows Live Tools also includes a template for an ASP.NET website using Windows Live.
