From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wind Prospect undertakes all aspects of wind energy development, including design, construction, operation and commercial services, with offices in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and China. The Wind Prospect Group has over 17 years of successful development within the industry and has been involved in over 2,000MW of approved wind farms, including onshore and offshore projects, in terms of development, construction, operations and commercial services. The company’s civil, electrical and mechanical engineers have been involved in the commissioning of over 40 wind farms around the world.

Wind Prospect’s Australian operation has 10 staff working from offices in Christies Beach, South Australia and Brisbane, Queensland. In Australia the company has more megawatts of capacity approved by local councils than any other developer in the country. In all, nine wind farms totalling over 700 MW have planning approval. In March 2005 the Canunda Wind Farm in South Australia developed by Wind Prospect was commissioned at a total capacity of 46 MW, with their second South Australian wind farm, Mount Millar Wind Farm, providing a further 70 MW of generation commissioned in January 2006. More recently, Wind Prospect’s third wind farm has reached financial close in South Australia. This is the 95 MW Hallett Wind Farm which is expected to be fully commissioned late in 2008.
