The Winchester Hat Fair is a festival of Street Arts and Community. From its beginning in 1974 as a small buskers fair where hats were passed around to collect donations, from which it got its name, the festival has grown into a four day event attracting over 30,000 visitors to the city.
The festival takes place across the city and the programme includes innovative community projects, markets, a big picnic, a huge children's procession, International large-scale work and commissions, music and large scale spectacular.
