Talk:Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Player/coach bios. Anyone writing them?
[edit] ==New Stadium==
Although it was brought up in 2004, they're restarting the idea again. Apparently, it could be located near the Red River Exhibition Park, on one of their adjacent lands. But the costs are rath pricey. The proposed new stadium will include a hotel (sponsored by Canad Inns), water park (... Why?), alot more seats, and a bunch of other goodies as well. It will still have an open roof, but it will be higher up and kind of caving inwards almost (if you've seen the proposed pictures). I think it looks rather nifty. In the trivia section, I'm not sure the team was named the way it is said. What I have learned is that the team was originally called the Winnipeg Blues. The team was in financial difficulties and was purchased by a former student of Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Technical School (SCITS highschool) in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Wanting to put his own personal touch on the team he renamed them the Blue Bombers after his highschool team: the SCITS Blue Bombers.
- First I've heard about this, whereas I've heard the Vince Leah story several times, including in the official Bomber's 75 year history book. I tend to side with Bomber historians on this ;) but if you have any sources (other than "what I have learned"), feel free to add them to the talk page to see if it merits adding. --Canuckguy 22:29, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Pat Fleming
Pat Fleming needs to be added to the "current roster" section as a Punter. I tried to do this, but was not able to edit the roster.
- Flemings been cut, so he doesn't need to be on the roster anymore. The roster is on its own template and to edit it you must click on the little "e" in the top right hand corner of the roster box. Burnqq 02:17, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
