[edit] New Page

The Wine Caves page is still being worked on. I will be adding more references and links, primarily. Danielle

[edit] Addressing Issues:

1) There were no references because someone, during an aggressive edit, chopped them off. A basic refernce to the original author of the paper (used by permission) has been replaced.

2) Regarding the "World View": Much of the information given in this article points specifically to Northern California where wine caves are booming in popularity. However, this is not to say that the information can not be applied to other wine-growing regions of the world. If anyone would like to add information specific to other regions, please do so.

I removed the external links. There were no references, only links to wine producers sites and to the company of the author. None of them provided the quality of references needed for the article. The wine caves page on the company site is nothing but a short marketing blurb. Please read Wikipedia:Citing sources to find the quality of sources needed. --GraemeL (talk) 00:03, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

I'm okay with Wine Cave being merged into Wine Cellar, as long as Wine Cellar remains the name of the article. It is by far the most popular use with a "Wave Cave", actually just being a type of Wine Cellar. Agne 11:57, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

I like the fact that it is a separate article. Wine caves have other uses that don't apply to wine cellars - and different construction techniques. As I am planning to build one, I found it very useful. Ren

It is inappropriate to merge with Wine Cellars as Wine Caves are usually much more complex structures, often handling far more than just the storage of wine. There are some Wine Caves which house all stages of the wine making production that can be performed indoors. I don't believe you an say the same of Wine Cellars.63.204.90.126 (talk) 22:00, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
