The idea that an area where XX is called "XX country" is a definition that can be found in any (larger) dictionary. Personally, I think at the point that something can be sourced to The New Zealand Oxford Dictionary, it's close enought to self evident.--Limegreen 10:13, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- "Self-evident?" I'll post on the list and ask about that, because it appears that the Wikipedia citations is used much differently (not at all) by the wine folks than is expected of the rest of Wikipedia. KP Botany 15:53, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

- I use inline citation extensively in my editing. This is case where I simply don't think that it is warranted (ie, it's a dictionary definition). If it was some sort of obscure word or useage that was only present in one particular dictionary, that would be different. Certainly there is precedent for using more rigorous citation than usual where there is conflict, but I thought that this would be resolvable on the talk page.--Limegreen 21:27, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
