[edit] tracing my family history.

Hello there, I have found my way to this site and have a query: I would be most appreciative if anyone could help me to locate vital records of births in the 1840's. I am compiling a family history, and a direct ancestor, named James Watson was born about 1854 (estimate). On his marriage certificate he states he was born in Windsor. His parents were Thomas Watson and Mary Jane nee Spearing. James married in St. Lawrence, in Queensland,Australia in 1873. Emigration for the period 1854 to 1873 to locate how and when he emigrated to Australia could also be valuable. Do you know where I might locate these records. Thank you, Mrs. Dalvene Barton
