This is an extremely low resolution scan of a book cover, used in an article on the author to illustrate both his work and his publication. It will in no way impede the sales or diminish the value of the work in question. Low resolution scans are commonly used to market books and are considered fair use of a copywritten work.

Hopefully, this will satisfy the stupid bot that keeps tagging this image. It is used only in the article on Gerald Wingrove to illustrate a book that he has written. There was already a detailed rationale that any human editor would have instantly understood, but instead these automated programs dumbly run their course on Wikipedia forcing editors to revisit work already completed, assuming they login often enough to even see the notices for deletion in time. Bots should be banned!
