Date

Library of Congress says "between 1870 and 1881", but Antiqbook says "ca. 1900". Item is listed in the collection of Mrs. Louise E. Bettens (1827-01-07 – 1914-03-23) so publication must have been by 1914.

Author

Carlo Brogi (1850–1925). (Library of Congress incorrectly attributes it to his father, Giacomo Brogi, who died before the house of the Vettii was excavated)
