Wilson Central High School's mission is to provide an academically challenging technologically enhanced educational program in an environment of honesty, integrity respect, and responsibility that sets high expectations develops strong work ethics, provides character development, and prepares students to be lifelong learners.

Wilson Central is the home of the 2006 and 2008 3A State Basketball Champions Lady Wildcats. Wilson Central, after being opened for three years, sent both its boys and girls basketball teams to the state championship tournament. Its wrestling team won its region in 2007.In 2007 Wilson Central football made it to the Class 5A State Quarterfinals.
