Willunga High School is a high school in Willunga, South Australia, a semi-rural area 45 km south of Adelaide. Willunga has strong community and industry recognition and support, particularly from the wine, grape-growing and hospitality sectors. Willunga High School was opened on its present site, formerly the Allen Estate, Waverley Park, in 1960.
Widely reported in the media at the time, in 1996 the students, organized by the Student Representative Council, held a strike on the school oval against the teachers who were regularly involved in strike actions themselves.
[edit] Notable Alumni
Jona Weinhofen, Josef Peters and Michael Crafter went on to form Adelaide Band I Killed The Prom Queen and tour the world.
