Willie Kivlichan

William F. Kivlichan, nicknamed 'Doc', was the first player to play for both Scottish football sides Rangers and Celtic in the early 1900s. He became the first player to cross the Old Firm divide twice.
Kivlichan was a Catholic doctor of medicine, who played for Rangers as a student and transferred to Celtic in 1907. He who signed for Rangers in 1905 from Glasgow University and played 29 games in two years before moving to Parkhead in a swap deal with Alex Bennett going to Ibrox. Kivlichan crossed the River Clyde again in 1909 and ended his career with Rangers.[1]
During World War I he served as a lieutenant in the Royal Army Medical Corps attached to the King’s Own African Rifles
