Williamsville South High School is one of the three high schools in Williamsville located in the Williamsville Central School District, outside of Buffalo, New York.

[edit] History

The school was known as Williamsville High School until the opening of additional high schools within the Williamsville Central School District necessitated adding the word "South."

In 1994, the school's football team advanced to the New York State championship game (Class B), but was defeated by one point.[1]

On May 1st, 2007, the school was evacuated when a note was found in a bathroom claiming that a bomb was in the school. Police found no bomb and later arrested a 14 year old boy in connection with the note.[2]

Williamsville South is one of the best Williamsville Schools. There are basically no cliques here, and everyone is extremely nice. We all love our school.

Both bands at Williamsville South have received high ratings in just about everything they do. Recently at a competition in Virginia Beach, Virginia, both of their bands received ratings of superior.
