William Whipple Warren (May 27, 1825–June 1, 1853)[1] was a mixed-blood Ojibwe historian, interpreter, and legislator in the Minnesota Territory.[2]

William Warren was born at La Pointe on Madeline Island, the son of Lyman Warren, a fur trader, and Mary Cadotte, daughter of Michel Cadotte.[1]
