William Ward (1677-1720)

William Ward (1677-1720) was Member of Parliament for Staffordshire from 1710-1713 and 1715 until his death.
He was the eldest son of Hon. William Ward of Willingsworth in Sedgley and Anne daughter and eventual heir of William Parkes of Willingsworth. He married Mary, daughter of the Hon. John Grey of Enville, younger son of Henry Grey, 1st Earl of Stamford. His son, John Ward succeeded his second cousin as Baron Ward in 1740 and to the entailed Dudley estates, and was created Viscount Dudley and Ward in 1763.
