William Tuckey

William Tuckey was born in Sommersetshire, England in 1708 and died September 14th, 1781. [1] He emigrated to New York City in 1754 [2] and is one of the first American composers.[3] He was also a choir master and organist. William Tuckey debuted Handel's Messiah in the Americas for the first time in 1770.[4][5]
