William Thorson (born c.1983) is a Swedish professional poker player from Varberg, Sweden is a two time European Poker Tour (EPT) final tableist who, in the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, finished in 13th place.[1]

Thorson who has cashed four times at the WSOP, most notably finishing in 13th place at the 2006 WSOP earning $907,128 which was won by Jamie Gold that year, the next year at the 2007 WSOP Thorson finished 3rd earning $136,493 at the $5,000 World Championship Limit Hold'em event, won by Saro Getzoyan.[1]

Thorson has made two final tables at the European Poker Tour, his first was at the EPT Dublin season 3 finishing 3rd for €184,780 ($232,340) and at the EPT San Remo season 4, finishing 6th for €140,600 ($216,946), and he nearly made a third final table coming in 9th at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure season 4, earning $120,000.[1]
As of 2008, his total live tournament winnings exceed $1,800,000.[2]
