Sports
Dwyer is known for its excellent sports program, excelling at many sports such as football, basketball, track and field, and lacrosse. Its lacrosse team has made it to the playoffs consistently and once reached the state championship. The track and field team has made it to the state meet constantly. It has also produced many state gold medal winners, and future 2008 track and field olympian, Ricardo Chambers. The basketball team won two consecutive state championships in 2004 and 2005 and is a playoff contender each year. The football team has consistently been a dominant team in Palm Beach County. For 3 consecutive years, they have lost to nationally ranked Miami Booker T. Washington High School in the state semifinals. For the past 2 years, the Washington vs. Dwyer games have been relatively close and upsetting for Dwyer.
