William Shipton

William Shipton (March 19, 1861 — October 21, 1941) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler who played for Derbyshire in 1884. He was born and died in Buxton, Derbyshire.
Shipton played one first-class match for Derbyshire, a defeat against Yorkshire in 1884, which Derbyshire lost by a ten-wicket margin. Shipton did not bowl in the match, but scored one run off the bat in the first innings and three in the second.
