William Pickford, 1st Baron Sterndale

William Pickford, 1st Baron Sterndale PC (1848–1923) was a British judge and a Lord Justice of Appeal.
In 1916 he was chairman of the Dardanelles Commission[1].
He was created Baron Sterndale, a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom on 14 November 1918. The barony became extinct on his death.
He was Master of the Rolls from 1919 until 1923.
He was a Privy Counsellor.
Sterndale's daughter the Hon. Mary Pickford sat as Conservative Member of Parliament for Hammersmith North from 1931 to 1934.
