William Micklethwait

William Henry Micklethwait was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1911.
A left handed batsman he scored a fine 44 batting at number 5 in his only first class knock, against the Indian tourists at the Circle in Hull. David Denton and Schofield Haigh scored hundreds as Yorkshire ran out winners by an innings and 43 runs,
He also played for Yorkshire Second XI (1908-1911), Mexborough and District (1906), Sheffield and District (1911) and Yorkshire Cricket Council (1912).
He was born on November 12, 1885 in Rotherham and died on October 7, 1947 at Broom Grange in the same Yorkshire town.
