William McManus

William Mcmanus (1780 - January 18, 1835) was a U.S. Representative from New York.

Born in Brunswick, New York, Mcmanus received an academic education. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1817 and commenced practice in Troy, New York. Surrogate of Rensselaer County 1815-1818. He served as district attorney 1818-1821.

Mcmanus was elected as an Adams candidate to the Nineteenth Congress (March 4, 1825-March 3, 1827). He resumed the practice of law. He moved to Texas in 1833. He returned to Brunswick, New York, the following year, where he died January 18, 1835.
