William McCoy (17?? – 1864) was an eighteenth and nineteenth century politician from Virginia.

Born near Warrenton, Virginia, McCoy was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1798 to 1804 and was a delegate to the Virginia Constitutional Convention in 1829 and 1830. He was elected a Democratic-Republican, Crawford Republican and Jacksonian to the United States House of Representatives in 1810, serving from 1811 to 1833. Their, he served a chairman of the Committee on Claims from 1827 to 1829. McCoy died in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1864 and was interred in the University of Virginia Cemetery.
