William Antonio Maldonado (born January 3, 1990 in Santa Ana, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran footballer who currently plays for San Salvador F.C. in El Salvador. He is a talented midfielder of great skill who is one of El Salvador's promising players.
Maldonado began playing in a popular soccer acedemy called Fundacion Chelona. He caught the eye of Norberto Huezo, who is the current coach of the U-17 squad. Maldonado played in all the qualifier games and made an impressive goal against Mexico and the game ended 2-2. The squad would eventually failed to qualify to 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Tho the squad failed to qualify, it left promise for the future.
As everyone else decided to get out of El Salvador to try-out for other leagues, Maldonado decided to stay and eventually he was signed by San Salvador F.C. Currently, Maldonado has been recently called up for the sub-23 squad and hes a future starter for the sub-20 to try to qualify to 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
