William Lutz

William Lutz specializes in doublespeak and the use of plain language. Lutz is widely published on the topic of doublespeak, or the manipulation of language, and has also worked with corporations and government in the use of 'plain language'. He wrote a famous essay The World of Doublespeak on this subject. Lutz has been Professor of English at Rutgers University's campus in Camden, New Jersey since 1991. William Lutz also has an entry in the book titled "The Shortman Reader", a college book for students. His story describes the four different types of Doublespeak and the dangers of doublespeak.
