William Howard Taft High School (more commonly known as Taft) is a public secondary school in the Northside Independent School District. It is one of the more well known high schools in the San Antonio region.
Taft is also known for being a school ridden with gang activity. On average walls must be repainted 12 times a week to cover up gang tagging. There are also many instances of drug use and large amounts of teenage pregnancy. Many say the only positive thing about taft is its AFJROTC program which this year won the Distinguished Unit Award.
