William Downie Stewart (politician)

William Downie Stewart (1842 – 1898) was a 19th century New Zealand politician, and a lawyer.
He represented the City of Dunedin electorate from 1879 to 1881 when he was defeated (for Dunedin West), and then the Dunedin West electorate from 1884 to 1890 when he retired.
His son William Downie Stewart (1878-1949) later represented the Dunedin West electorate.
