William Dawson (cricketer)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

William Arthur Dawson was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1870. He bagged a pair in his only appearance against Kent CCC at Dewsbury and didn't bowl or take a catch. Despite his lack of contribution, Yorkshire ran out comfortable winners by 82 runs thanks to the bowling of Tom Emmett and George Freeman.

He was born on December 3, 1850 in Bradford and died on March 6, 1916, in Ilkley.
