William Burnet Kinney

William Burnet Kinney (1799-1880) was an American politician and diplomat, born in Speedwell, N. J., and educated at Princeton. After his graduation from Princeton, he studied law and became an editor in Newark, where he founded the Advertiser in 1832. He was a prominent Whig. In 1851 he went to Turin as Minister to Sardinia. Afterwards, he lived in Florence. In 1841, he married Elizabeth Clementine Stedman, the author.
