William Beacom

William Beacom (born 1990) is a duct tape expert from Midland, Michigan.

Beacom is currently a junior at Midland High School where he is a member of the Midland High Debate team, and the co-founder of the school's chapter of the 1/24 club[1].

Beacom also runs a website devoted to his works[2].

[edit] Late Show Appearance

Beacom came to fame when he appeared on the December 1, 2006 episode of the Late Show with David Letterman, along with Danny DeVito and the band Silversun Pickups[3]. A clip of the appearance on the website YouTube ranked in the top 25 most viewed and most highly rated for the week.[4]

As of December 3, 2006, William has put on 22 "Duct Tape Shows" where he demonstrates how to create household objects using only duct tape. These objects include wallets, shoes, flowers, and neck ties.
