William Barclay (politician)

William A. Barclay is a Republican New York State Assemblyman from the 124th District, which includes Oswego, New York and Onondaga and Oswego counties. He is also a partner in his father's law firm, Hiscock & Barclay.
He earned his B.A. from St. Lawrence University in 1992, and his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University in 1995.
His father is Hugh Douglas Barclay, a former U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador.
William Barclay is currently the Chair of the Assembly Minority Hunting and Fishing Task Force in the New York State Assembly,
On December 14th, 2007, William Barclay announced his candidacy for New York State Senator, in New York's 48th Senate district. He is seeking to replace former Senator Jim Wright, who announced his resignation on December 12th, 2007.
