William A. Wilson (born November 3, 1914) was an American diplomat and businessman from Los Angeles. A close friend of President Ronald Reagan, was appointed as first United States Ambassador to the Holy See in 1984. Previously he was personal representative of the United States President to the Holy See, from 1981.
