William A. Rusher

William A. Rusher (born 19 July 1923 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American lawyer and conservative columnist.
In 1957, William F. Buckley, Jr. hired Rusher as publisher of National Review. Rusher was an early mentor of Young Americans for Freedom and was active in the campaigns of Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan.
Rusher retired from National Review in 1988. During the hearings for the Samuel Alito Supreme Court nomination, Rusher released a collection of documents related to the Concerned Alumni of Princeton group.
