From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Will Shivers is an American comedic actor and filmmaker. As an actor, Will is best known for appearing in commercials for Discover Card, and Cisco Systems as well as for his voice over work in the more recent Honda Element commercial playing a mole DJ. As a filmmaker, Will gained underground notoriety for the David Duchovny Video that he co-conceived, edited and directed and which featured over 30 celebrities, from Brad Pitt to George Clooney.

[edit] Biography

Will was born in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from the University of Southern California, where he studied film and creative writing. After graduation, he did various stints as a production assistant which led him to the The X-files. Will then worked a writer's assistant on the Chris Carter produced Millennium. During this time Will made several short films, using the X-Files editorial equipment at night. In Suffering in Hollywood he starred as struggling actor/courier Clayton Millhouse. The Making of Force Full Throttle Hard featured him as a costar of a megabudget buddy film with Wesley Snipes.

However, it was The David Duchovny Video which really trigered national attention to Will and his producer Charles Forsch. Singer and songwriter Bree Sharp, a fan of Duchovny and the X-Files, wrote a song with the lyrics "David Duchovny, Why Won't You Love Me?" Will and Forsch decided to make a video to the song and play it at the X-Files Christmas party. They ended up recruiting the entire cast and crew as well as 30 actors, including Brad Pitt, Whoopie Goldberg, Alex Trebek, and George Clooney.

All of these films are now featured in some capacity on YouTube.

As Millennium came to an end, Will decided to concentrate on his acting. He has appeared in several commercials both on camera as well as in voice only.

In 2004, he started Shivers Films which initially focused on corporate documentaries.

[edit] Now

In 2006, he started his podcasting website/production entity Functional Chaos. It is here that he finally began to focus on Will Shivers as a brand of comedy. His audio sketches involve various satirical takes on society, politics, celebrity and human folly. Will's biggest inspiration leading up to his new website was the early Ben Stiller - The Ben Stiller Show era, which become more apparent with each episode. Yet Will offers his own unique flavor and voice in bridging the gap between the real and the surreal of our existence here on Earth.

Will made his feature film debut in the film Love and Mary, set for release in 2007, playing a make-up salesman.
