Wilkowski

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wilkowski (villkovski) is an ancient Polish surname. The surname's origin is circa 15th to 16th century in the vicinity of Mrocz [1], Poland according to a recently published (2000) Wilkowske family history document authored by David R. Wilkowske.

It appears that the Wilkowski surname is more prolific than the Wilkowske surname.[original research?] In the 1920's the largest concentration of Wilkowski families was in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin [2].

The Germanized (Prussian) spelling is Wilkowske.
